cb help please

Tried my cb today. Receives fine but will not transmit. The other bikes (Goldwing) radio mutes when I key up the cb but no voice/sound.Intercom works fine. Switched helmets and the same thing happens ( my bike will not transmit). Tried the wifes helmet and used the cb in the truck..same thing. Tried plugging into the passenger plug..same thing. If you SCREAM into the mike it sounds like a whisper on the other end.Everything else works as it should, just won't transmit. Any ideas??

It sounds as though you've eleminated the mike on your helmet since the intercom does work - I'd say you've got a bum radio - time for a trip back to your dealer.

I had problems with my CB and noise. Turned out, after 3 months of checks, that the passenger headset was getting electromagnetic interference. When i transmitted it was noise to me. I also found the setting of the CB difficult to get right. If I ride alone, everything works fine; with a passenger it's tuff to get the CB and intercom synched
