I have the HD backrest/bracket that I am willing to sell if interested. You don't have enough posts to send me a PM so I will try to keep an eye on the thread-no promises...

Backrest is a must for me, picked up a used one on eBay for 50$ with bracket.

I use a Mustang backrest. I didn’t care for the Harley one. The angle that it sat at just wasn’t comfortable for me. The Mustang one pivots and fits me well.

I bought a mustang, but havn't used in over 10 years. Neverseemed just right. Every few years I think about trying again.

Riding more and strengthening core will help some people. Sometimes you notice it in the spring.

GF hated it.

Go with the adjustable backrest, definitely worth the extra cost.

I had an 11 Road King Classic. I'm 6'3" 265. Biggest comfort change I made was going to the "09" Heritage bars. No more shoulder and back pain. Between those bars and my Corbin seat, I could ride all day.
Now I just have to get my 19 Ultra dialed in.

I recommend the adjustable backrest, too.
It's less about the easy adjustability and more about the gas charged piston.
There is just a tiny bit of give from the piston that adds to your comfort.
I've had friends complain about the non-adjustable rest feeling way too solid.
