It really depends on your riding style, whether you like a soft compound for a smoother ride (but shorter life) vs a harder one that lasts longer. I haven't had to swap out the tires on my 16 RGS yet, but I'm going to start researching soon. I had Avon tyres on my Buell, Lowrider and 2005 Electra Glide and will lean towards them again most likely.
