Mine rattles a little. Where are the adjustment points? Thanks
ASSuming it's the Harley 4 point mount and not an aftermarket, the little black plastic pieces the mount connects to are not round, they are concentric. Loosen the Allen/Torx and rotate them until they snug. Will be trial and error between being too snug and being too difficult to remove the pack. If it's an aftermarket you may be able to simply do a couple wraps of electrical tape on the mount point.
MIne rattles bad. Mine is not adjustable, that I can tell. Not oval. Maybe new ones are.
But you want a chopper buy a chopper. I never take mine off. Why you would want less? Perfect height, opens easy, more storage. Some people like bringing their bike home to get cage. Not me.
There are lines on the mounting points. Make them level front to back and that's where they go. No need for trial and error. My last 2 bikes I've had this tourpak on. All harley parts. Zero rattle. Locks down tight but goes on and off effortlessly. Using them lines puts them right where they need to be.
How I did it was I held it so the back line was at about 2 o'clock. this way when I tightened it it rolled to 3 o'clock.
My buddy was fighting with his. I had him come over. One point was off. The line was at 1 o'clock. Moved it to 3 o'clock and that's all.it took. Perfect fit. And zero rattle. His is also all Harley parts.
My current is a 14 but have had many. All the ones I have had similar mount point. They do not look oval at all, only slightly concentric.
Great tip on the lines RFG! I have seen them but never paid much attention to them. Will need to check out where mine are just out of curiosity even tho it's working just fine.
