Its a 2020 Street Glide, 114 M8.
I don't think that's a 2020. Looks more like a 2019 Street Glide Special (judging from the front wheel). You also mentioned the heel shifter, and the closeable fairing vent. Both of those features dissapeared on the 2020's.

I'm close to the factory and factory workers get a new bike every year at cost (or steep discount) if they want. There's typically many one year old bikes at the local dealers that are trade ins from the factory folks. They still have to buy through the dealers so the dealers get their low mile one year old trades regularly. Bought my 07 EGC in 08 with 5K on it about 6K off of new at that time.

The vent is still there, but it's no longer closeable. From what I've read on the forums, most leave it open all the time, myself included.

OP the fairing vent won't fix the buffeting you referred to regardless of what the salesman said. The stock windshield is worthless, just about everybody has to get one that fits their height better.

Ok thanks barneyboy

Thanks. I wondered, since the one on my sporty is taller and while I get a lot of noise, I do not get my brains beat up like was happening. my brains cannot afford any more beating either.

I actually like the stock shield. I also wear a shoei ff helmet, and helmet choice makes a big difference.
I have a 1/2 helmet that I hate for that very reason.

It's still a function of height, I wear a full face too. If it works for you that's great, just doesn't fit most of us.

It would make a diff on noise, but in this situation, it was shield height. I would have been quietly beat to death with your helmet.
