Went through two sets of ISO grips (one black, one chrome) and one set of black ISO foot pegs where the chrome AND black powder coat flaked off in large pieces revealing crap pot metal underneath. All happened very shortly after the one year warranty was up, one within two weeks and the other two less than six months.
Called Krapyakyn the first two times seeing if they'd goodwill warranty the parts but got the typical b.s. customer service reply that they were sorry this happened to me but there was nothing they could do.
I wouldn't **** on their building if it was on fire.
I have had nothing but bad experiences with them. I bought crash bars off them and the chrome started peeling and rusting underneath. Like the guy above it was barely over the warranty period and they told me to take a hike. That was the last straw. I will never buy or allow another part from them on my bike again. Crap parts and crap service.
their products suck!! I have never had one thing Kuryaken that wasn't a poor quality piece of junk!! peeling chrome poor fitting parts, when I buy a used bike the first thing I do is remove any of that junk and toss it straight into the trash!! you get what you pay for!! except when you buy their junk!! not even any of my buddies will take it for free!! lol NOT a fan!!
I installed their signal/spot lights front and rear on my '11 Classic about a week before Laconia this year. The set screw on the pre assembled turn signal light came loose and i lost the bezel and gasket for that light. The booth up there at bike week didn't have it so i did end up calling customer service. At first they tried to say all the fasteners should be checked before completion but this was a part of the already pre assembled light....anyway they ended up sending me a replacement ring, they almost said i may have to buy a whole new set at like $250!!! In the end i paid 5 bucks for shipping for a small bezel gasket and set screw...so a 50/50 seems right lol. In the end i got what i needed but there was a chance i could have eaten it.
Just received brand new ISO grips for my Ultra Classic from my wife for my upcoming birthday. I will report how they look when I get them installed hopefully this or next weekend. As stated previously the ones on my Intruder 1500 still look like new after 14-15 years.
I have only one Kury product, their Tour Pak sliding unit that I bought for my 09 FLHP about 8 years ago. I have never had a problem with it even with the significant modifications I made to it so that it would slide a bit closer to my police solo seat.
About a month ago one of its 4 cam locks came off. I emailed them and they sent me the replacement cam lock for ~$15 which seemed reasonable.
I have their rider backrest and the large touring bag. Very happy with both. Also installed the passenger foot boards on my old bike. They were also very good. It had several things on it from them when I bought it, all in decent shape for their age.
