There's a wire from the throttle twist sensor to the main harness...both ends can be touchy for pins getting bent an breaking. Did you remove the grip sensor or just unplug it from inside the fairing? the connection inside the bars is fragile an easy to break. I broke a wire on mine when I changed bars an went to internal hidden wires. I cut out the connector an hardwired it to the wire down to the fairing but over time I still had trouble an had to replace both the twist sensor an the wire it plugs into. there are 2 sets of wires that are the same colors but one is out of a black wrap an one out of a yellow wrap so watch this. If you didn't mess with the internal wiring it could just be the connector in the fairing.
