Good deal. Glad the issue is resolved---I have about 3k on my new Dunlops now--i will see if i develop the slow speed wobble again-I had about 10k on the original ones and had developed the slow speed wobble on deceleration like others had mentioned. Took to the dealer and they said everything checked out but i had slight cupping on front and rear-but lots of tread left--------they cranked up the front air to 44 and it seemed to help-but i decided to get new tires anyways-it was a toss up on my new tires between the Michelin Commander 2s and the Dunlap american elites--i went with the dunlops, I installed the FOBO monitoring system also to keep an eye on tire pressure. Ill keep an eye on the cupping of the tires as my mileage increases-----Just glad your back to no wobble--Ride Safe and Enjoy!

Glad to hear you got it solved with only a tire change . Only 7000 miles on the AE's , that's pretty sad , put a set on last summer and I've got about the same mileage on mine . I hope I don't have to change mine out so soon ,

CAREFULLY maintaining a tire pressure that is too low will not prevent cupping. Many will argue, but I have had best luck maintaining the max allowed pressure on the side wall plus a little since I have no idea if my gauge reads above actual or below actual. When it comes to tires a little too much pressure is better than a bit too little. HEAT build up damages tires and added pressure keeps them cooler. Heat also softens the rubber and accelerates the wear rate.

Great info there btsom , I have faith in the shop I deal with . I do recall him telling me to keep the tires at the rating the side walls state and no less . I check them once or twice a week , so far I love them and they do quite well , even in the pouring rain through the mountain twisty's .

Did you really solve the issue or just address the problem? Did the dealer provide any information as to why the tire cupped?
Did you check the torque of the lower riser bolts as recommended in post #10?

Tires cup for a reason. Switching brands is not the answer if you haven’t done anything else. I typically get 12 to 15k miles of hard riding from my Dunlop’s. Like all have said, tire pressure ( I have factory tpms on my bike but I always use a accurate tire gauge to check once a month), improper front suspension adjustment, towing a motorcycle trailer, riding the brakes hard constantly etc.

THIS. Before throwing the Dunlops out with the bath water, I'd think there might be some benefit in finding out what might be carrying your new Michelins to a similar fate.

Let us know if/what you find. Even if it's "Michelins cupped too!" Good luck!

I'm sure you already did this, but, did you check your front tire air pressure?
