Looking for more everywhere, especially 2 up. The bike never hits the Rev limiter. Only interested in maintaining speeds in the mountains.

This looks like the cams for me. Thoughts?
I have a 2010 limited with a 103 and almost exactly your setup. I also ride a lot of 2 up and needed more down low grunt vs top end so I went with the 222 cams and absolutely love them! Get those and splurge for a power vision tuner and map from fuel moto and the mountains won’t stand a chance!

if you plan on upping displacement to a 107 or 110 then the 555 cams might be a little better for that. I thought about it when I was doing cams but going from 103 to 107 would have been a extra $1500 and I just didn’t see the hassle being worth the 5-10 extra hp and torque for the type of riding I do.

Thanks for that. I'm in the same boat with going big bore. I already have a PV I bought with the FM exhaust so a map will be easy.

I'll have all winter moving forward so am just putting together some dollars to commit the shopping cart. The compensator needs replacing too, so the list continues to grow. You know how it is ... Lol

Hey Guys, good to hear ya'll have 20 years of testing data. That's about how old my TC88 is. Wonder if you have data/test data for the Red Shift 511 cams in my bike 03 FLHRCI. I finally have all my goodies together in one pile, getting ready for "heart transplant" real soon. Also will need to talk to ya'll about an inexpensive tuner. My local H/D dealer wanted an arm, leg and first born, would love some input for MAPs nothing fancy, just will need to upgrade the program from stock.

So I'm about 20 hours into my cam investigations and have settled on this one question.

103 FXDWG, I did the 70 tooth rear and tri-glide front pulley, open back air cleaner, V&H Big Shots (actually the Python knockoffs), PowerVision tuner.

Andrews 48 and SE 254e sound like the best choices.

All I want is a stronger bike under 3500rpm. I rarely rev higher than that. I know people like the SE 255 but I don't want to end up having tuning or starting problems and the 254e sounds comparable sans those issues. My shop recommended the Chris Rivas Rocket 584 but I can't find enough info to feel solid about it.

Thoughts?

One thought is that you may be on the first step to further mods! I've done cams - been there. I have a big S&S engine now....

More seriously, don't scrimp - get your bike properly tuned, no matter what mods you eventually decide on. And talk to your shop about that cam and why they recommend it. It might be just what you are looking for!

I switched out the fairly anemic SE 255 cams. Went with some headwork and the MR 103 cams. The indy that did the build did not have a dyno, but did modifications to the tune with the PC5. IT ran ok, but I was still not happy, bought a PC3 from Fuel Moto and had them add a tune based on my build. . They told me that not a lot of experience with this combo, and put their best effort into the tune. Went to another indy that has a dyno. They completely re-did the tune that FM supplied. It is a runner now.The MR 1-3 is a drastic improvement from what I had. HP over 110, torque over 120. Also switched out front pulley from 32 tooth to 31 tooth. It's nasty..
