Is he interested in a trade? I have an 07 Streetglide I'll trade ya.
He already has several big bore bikes so I doubt he will be looking for any more bikes for the stable. He is much like us, a enthusiast for many makes and models of motorcycles.
The deal usually comes down to financing. It's a lot easier for most to put 4-5K down on a new unit and finance, than to come up with 15-20K cash. That's why big $$ bikes are hard to unload....I say it sits for a while at 18k, but would sell at 15,900....
Kelly Blue Book says $14,850.00, you don't get a lot of mony back on parts added on and considering a brand new 08 is about $18,000.
I would guess you could try for $16000.00-$17000.00.
Looks nicely done!
That's the grim reality of selling a bike with a lot of extras. You may get top dollar, but you'll have to find someone that appreciates all that you've done to the bike. The average person will buy new rather than spend a like amount of money on a decked-out bike.
Regardless, that's a beauty.
Yep that's the problem with sinking all that money into a bike. The reality is this. No matter how much he has invested into it,It's an 03 and has 26k on it. He'll have to hold out for the perfect buyer who's willing to spend almost as much $$$for a5 year old bike as he would fora brand new one. [&:]
I appreciate everybodies feedback, after all that is why he asked me to bring it to the Forum.
Unlike everybody else, there is a collected amount of experience and knowledage on the value of what a bike is worth to the 'keen" eye.
I to had acustomized hdat one time thatinstead of selling it and takin a hit cause no one wanted to pay for my extras and it even devalued the bike in that no one wanted my "creation" (hard to find a buyer) so what I ended up doing is just riding it like I stole it for a few years (when not riding my other hd) til it was less of an issue because price of it now had leveled out,,had my fun and sold it quick for the going price with no regrets
