Keep it...my wife is pushing me to sell my 2001 Suzuki Intruder 1500LC...same thing, I'm like what am I gonna get for it? $2700 $2500? I'd rather keep it for commuting & when my 17 yr old son can handle a bike that size.

I like the donation idea. My dad is an AF veteran and nearly all of his golf buddies served as well. They all go to the VWF on Tuesdays for Wing Night. A donation raffle would be a huge hit. I'll have my mom call their tax guy to research it.

Thanks again for all the suggestions and ideas, really appreciate it!

Default Road King Value???

I joined the HDF to get some background on my dad's Road King. He hasn't been riding it much the last few years and it is time for a new home. Here is a link with more details: Original Thread

Please let me know your thoughts on the value and selling process. Or ping me if you know of someone interested.

Thank you in advance for your support.

I would say 4-6k depending on the buyer and area. Here in Florida you'd be lucky to get 5k

You can keep it...and Dad can Ride it...
Source a Sidecar and set the bike up properly [at minimum raked tree] and dad is "In Business"
and don't take that big loss...

If that bike was in Florida i would make you a lowball offer, hand you the cash for a win win. Seriously.

If you do go the donation and raffle route let me know. I'll buy some tickets.

I grew up in Minnesota. Would be a good excuse to go back and pick it up if I win.

nice looking bike. My estimated value would be 4-6 thousand depending on buyer and time willing to wait to sell it. I bought my 2000 ultra classic 9 years ago for 5k. storage would work, but would be work. would the nephews parents have a desire or place to keep it? good luck . not being mean.. but the bike is an object. the memories are the value. It is easy to say but hard to do, I am attached to mine too.
