So, how "quiet" is the quiet baffle? I ask because my current setup is freakin' loud, which I have no problem with, but the Leo's here aren't always as happy about it as I am . . . I have yet to be stopped, but I know I will be, as I have the same setup as my father had, 'cept mine is louder, due to higher compressionand he was busted with them (by them I mean White Brothers porker slip-ons on stock headers) . . .
I am also looking for more low end, and this seems to do it, so I am really looking at the fat cat, but I am worried it too will be too loud and may get me busted . . . please, please, please tell me that it is quiet . . . I really like the look and the bonus of low end grunt will be great!
Sooooo, you took the Bassani Power curve off for the fatcat (both look excellent on your scoot BTW). I am getting ready to order the Basseni Power curve for my RG.
Tell me, whay didn't you like about the Bassani? Were you just looking for a change? Whats the scoop?

In my opinion, it is a very respectable sound at idle and cruising. Don't get me wrong, it's got a bark when you dig in on the throttle.

There is ABSOLUTELY no better looking pipe to date put on a bagger than the Fatty...........Dammit! I had myself talked out of the FatCat too....thanks Kern.[sm=chairshot.gif][sm=boink3.gif][:@]
Kern, was the change worth it in money and perormance? It sure look good w/ the fat cat!!! I thinking of switching myself. Did you get a good deal on the FAT CAT? If so, from who?
Also, regarding your initial observations on response difference between the Curves and the Cat.... Your bike was tuned for the Curve. If you were to have it tuned w/the FatCat, the difference would/will be much more pronounced. However.... if you're getting the itch for a build, there's no sense tuning what you have now and then having to do it again next month! [8D]
BTW - Your scoot REALLY looks B1TCH'n! Very nice!!!!

I don't mind the bark, in fact, that is what I want to keep, but right now, the noise coming on at cruise and at idle is a bit much (my neighbors all get up to close their windows when I start 'er up at 6am [8D]).

I think it was definitely worth it.Every time I havefired it upit brings a big smile to my face. The wife was teasing me yesterdaywhen she saw me backing it out of the garage grinning ear to ear. "You're worse than a kid!!"
I pickedthe pipeup locally at Racine HD. I guarantee no one else can get the dealI got due to the fact that my guy Roger in partsscrewed up when he quoted me the price on paper. He stood by his quote based on principle and gave me thedeal. I've spent thousands with this guy and heknowsI will be back and will only deal with him.I saved about $300 from retail.Get a hold of shooter64 here on the forum, he can give you a solid deal from his shop.
