Pull the green wire on the starter solenoid and see if it has 12V to ground when you push the start button.

Check the starter mount bolts to make sure they are tight, they are the starter ground.

The 07 has clutch interlock so it won't start in gear. If it fails will not start with clutch, does this only happen in gear?

then I would say something in interlock circuit. Mine opened up at connector in fairing. It's possible while getting on off you turned bar's or something that makes it up.

this should be very easy to prove. Out bike in gear, pull clutch in, if doesn't start put in neutral. If if starts then start looking at that circuit. Pay attention that neutral light cones in so bike knows in neutral. You might also be pumping when for neutral switch when banging on starter..

my 07 has stalling problems periodically I got to clean sensor. It would stall coasting, and wouldn't restart unless put in neutral
