So I figured I'd ask- what are some alarm and various security (incl. lo-jack type devices) that y'all use? what do yall Suggest? I own a 2014 FLHR and although I lock everything- I know how easy it is to pick those barrel locks with the right tools. (Not to mention, I don't want some idjit thinkin they're cool and touching my bike or worse.. dinging it with their door.. LOL)
I buy insurance. I travel a fair amount on my bike and I don't worry about it. I certainly won't waste my money on Lo Jack type devices because if it is stolen, I don't want it back.
A shotgun, a junkyard bulldog and a pretty girl. The girl draws attention away from the bike while you blow his leg off at the knee and the dog attacks the rest. I actually sell this system for $9,999.00 dollars installed.Service contract required for maintenance of dog and girl- some restrictions apply void where prohibited.
If someone wants to steal it they'll steal it and disable whatever you have installed. As far as getting hit by a door. Alarms won't keep that from happening.
Some people treat motorcyles like rare and priceless artifacts. It's vehicle.

I truly believe the harder you make it for them to steal the more they will move on to someone else's bike.....disk locks, chain thru frame to other bikes or nearby structure....but like others said, If someone wants to steal they will....just make it harder for them to do.
