Default 1510 trouble code recurring.

I did a basic bar swap like everyone seems to have done or read about. 1510 and 2138 are now a constant in my life. I replaced the TGS and it still has problem clearing codes. Replaced 6 pin plug. Same. Recognized connection at plug from male to female pins loose and took out POS plug and went with something I know allows good connection, spade bits. Insulated. I’ve gone through schematics in wiring on such area and it’s all matching I’ve reset throttle sensor. No change. I’m picking apart wiring looking for loose connection a. Any suggestions ?

without knowing year of bike it's tough to say....a common issue is in the harness itself, especially one with some mileage
check the harness for weak/stretched wires at the neck pass-thru-it wont be obvious with giving each individual wire a light tug
the TGS is a rather robust piece of equipment so they rarely breakdown.
also, the factory duestch are far superior to any spade connector
if the code arose following bar swap, check for a pinched wire somewhere in the process.
if you ran harness thru bars, depending on bar make, its possible something is shorted
also, if its 2014 or newer and you didnt relocate the small harnesses under head unit, you may have stretched some of the wiring for TGS
hope this helps

I do

As in your other post where you asked this same question and I answered with you should purchase an Electric Diagnostic Service Manual to reference. I have performed numerous bar swaps on bikes and I can tell you that if you had no issues prior and now after you have codes popping up, you need to re-check your work. If that means taking apart everything you did and going through each wire then so be it. You adding on a different connector/connection doesn’t make sense as to why.

So I’ll say this; If you want to have this done right, break all your work down, get out your multimeter, purchase the EDSM and troubleshoot your work. Check that you didn’t damage any wires in the process, make sure wires weren’t crossed, and put the connector back on that you removed, unless you destroyed it. THAT would be my suggestion to start.

Welcome to the forum, good luck, and ride safe!

P1510 is not your problem, it is the result of your problem. So get the P2138 traced down and fixed then the 1510 will go away..
P2138 is the TGS position Correlation Error. This test basically compares the two sensor voltages, TGS 1 versus TGS2. In a perfect world the two voltages are the exact opposite of each other so the compare would alway come up with near zero. Anytime it varies away from this near zero you will get a code set.
