Default Riders Vs. Cars

Here is my RANT. Riders Vs. Cars

How many of you have noticed in your town, your city, the idoits driving aroundin there safe, shell of a car, and what they are doing?

Here is one of myaggrevations, cause for (road rage).
I see every day, my ride to work, the idoits taking on the cellphones, or text messaging someone. Instead of paying attention to the road. There usually the first ones to stray into our lane while multi-tasking.

Yes, I believe in defensive riding, and offensive riding. Trust no-one but yourself. Who better to be in control.

Or the rubberhead, that thinks he/she can drive down the road using his/her knees to steer his/her car, while either reading a book, looking at there PDA, or even better, typing on there laptop computer getting ready for work. Yes, seen the laptop personelly, and when we had gotten to a red light, and I pulled up along side the idoit, jumped his **** about it.

A buddy of mine was rear-ended on his bike while slowing down for traffic ahead, and a 18yr old girl (the driver) was on a Cellphone, that hit him. And her first statement after she stopped to the other drivers of vehicles, Hmmm, did someone hit me!!! All while she was still on her phone talking to her friend.

Thats my rant, thats my cause for road rage. Not sure if your community has taken action about the use of cellphones. I know mine has not. It is something to think about.

my rant is over, thanks for reading.

My left middle finger is getting a work out here of late. Have talked to several riders where I work and they have been seeing the same thing. Really getting old seeing cars heading towards me in MY LANE!

They have made it illegal to drive while talking on a cell phone, here in Albuquerque. And, after a month or two of it going into effect, I can honestly say, NOONE gives a **** about the law. I still see them, every day.

Another argument for Loud Pipes Save Lives! I love riding next to people and downshifting just to annoy them talking on their phones. Nothing gets their attention more. And I just have SE slip ons, not straight pipes. I see people as soon as they pul out of the driveway talking on their phones. Who are you talking to at 7 am? "Hey what are you doing?" "I'm on my way to work/school." "Wow! Me too!" Idiots. Or maybe they are just way more important/popular than I am.

You know last night I was driving my car home from work and we came to a stop light to stop at a major intersection.
I saw a big SUV thing in the rear view mirror closing in on me. I noticed that the bit@h driving it was on the phone and looking back over she shoulder a not looking at me the car in front of her.
I though she was going to rear end me. I'm glad I wasn't on the bike.

I usually leave for work at 6 am, and I can't believe how many a$$hats are babbling on their damn cellphones at that hour! WTF?!?!? Still remember one brain surgeon driving along last fall, near my work, eating a Wendy's Frosrty... at 40 mph. Completely oblivious to her surroundings.

Oh, and don't forget that tragedy near Rochester NY a couple of weeks ago, those 5 HS cheerleaders killed in that head-on with a semi. The driver's cellphine reacords show SOMEONE was texting from her phone...[:@]

It has been my experience that those that are the worst offenders are those who've neverbeen involved in a collision. Many people feel safe & secure in their car or SUV- like they're invincible. But even passengers in the biggest SUVare gonna be in a hurt locker if they have a collision with something as small as a VW Bug or a Yugo. Wrecks hurt- period.

Once people learn how vulnerable they are in a vehicle (by having an accident) their driving habits usually change accordingly...

Well, heres some vidication for ya. I drive a tractor / trailer fuel truck for a living. They do the same thing to me whether I'm driving my truck or my EGC. All I do is stay in my lane and maintain speed in my 80,000 lbs. truck.Someone hits my truck at speed they're gonna need a replacement vehicle and I'll need to buff out my bumper. If one of those idiots hits me while I'm driving a truck, that just means a few more BRAND NEW HARLEYS for me. ... on my ECG II think a bit differently, but again - if I get hit (and don't die) I'll just consider it hitting the lottery.

The little secret is that WE DO THE SAME THINGS WHEN WE DRIVE A CAR! Cell phones, honestly, should be banned while one is driving a vehicle. You can say what you want, the most reckless drivers, at least in NC/SC area, are the truck drivers. There is no such thing as a speed limit to a truck driver.
