[QUOTE=6113_;18980651]if that's the case, SLR in the saddlebag on top. GoPro for everything else.
there's something wrong with your lens though, that pic is all out of sorts of weird focus [/QUOTE
I don't think it's the lens. looks like he tried some sort of effect to blur out surroundings. I did that once. Personally I didn't like that effect when I did it. IMHO it just doesn't look good without proper lens and bokeh effect.
The chest strap is a good idea but I'd get annoyed at it flopping around. How about a belt clip. Spider holster is one brand but there's much cheaper and just as secure options on the market now. Get one with a hip pad, much more comfortable.
Sorry brother, I don't have a pic of that. It's funny, but never thought of it. The bag is magnetic. I put a coat of wax on it before a trip. Doesn't scratch, or at least it hasn't to this point. Gas is easy as the entire bag just pops off. It is amazingly secure during riding. It sits up high enough that legs, arms, nothing actually touches it.
Are you using the Nelson Riggs JOURNEY HIGHWAY CRUISER MAGNETIC TANK BAG? I used one last year on a 16 day trip and really liked it. I was sceptical about it scratching the paint however I didn't get a scratch. I do wiped down the tank and inspected the magnets before I put it on as well as use caution to not let the magnets snap down hard. The Nelson Riggs bag is not a large bag and leaves the fuel tank filler open for use even when installed. Very handy bag for long trips.

I don't think it's that brand specifically, but almost identical. I've had the bag since 2014 so it has some wear on it, but it does the job. I haven't had any scratching either, but I make sure things stay clean. I also got a rain cover for mine so that if I get caught in weather, the gear is okay. That said, in a pinch a smaller garbage bag would certainly do that job.
I like the concept doc, but my method going cross country involves using both saddle bags
I can appreciate the effort, j/k above, but I can also see where maybe that same application would work on the engine guards, etc., or maybe even tap and drill something. I do have a quick release plate on one of my Manfrotto heads, so I guess anything is possible.
I bought one of these offset mirror mounts. I am thinking about attaching the mirror mount to my handlebar, then a flat plate screwed into the mirror mount. Then attach the ram ball on the square plate on the plate attached to the handlebar mirror mount.
Then use the short arm to another mount that I am still trying to find, and then the last picture is the part that screws into the camera. .
Again, this is in the early development stages, the sling is good, but may be too heavy for long days.
