Default Exhaust question

Hey guys and gals.
i am new to the forum.
I have a 2010 street glide and when I was out today my heat shield broke. I found some on line but all it says is will fit touring models from 09 to 13.
I guess my question is, are all the stock shields the same for that many years?
any help would be great.

Looking at a parts fiche for your 2010 and a 2013 street glide shows part numbers for each shield ending in -09. That said, the shield fit 09-13 as you indicated. Look up your inquires here https://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche...ET-GLIDE-(KBM)

High level of commonality on all Touring Models between the major upgrade in 2009 until the next major upgrade (Rushmore) in 2014. Some commonality beyond 2013 depends on the part,

Ronnie's online part finder is a sweet tool to compare model to model and year to year.

Generally - -

The suffix ie 09 means the year the part was first used.
If the suffix includes a letter ie 09A and the base part number remains the same, it means Harley has superseded the original (09) part with the new part (09A). The new part will be used to service the original (09) parts. It is generally correct to consider A parts as upgrades and fully backward compatible.

The rear heat shield is unique to 2010 Street Glide & Road Glide Custom as they used 2/1 head pipe, however the front & rear primary shields are the same as the other 09-16 models which all uses 2/1/2 style head pipes.

Sometimes you can find somebody's take-off exhaust system for very little money.

Good one Jamie @ @fuelmoto , 1-Year / 2-model Application (of the Touring line)

I've run into numerous items of "Uniqueness" on Harley Models over the years ... I'll add this to the quiver

Pull that stock setup off and have Jaime (Fuel Moto) set you up with a Jackpot Road & Track 2:1 system.

You’ll be happy you did.... The sound and performance are great!
