Default Cup holder on crash bar/engine guard

On my last bike I had a Kruzer Kaddie cup holder mounted to my crash bar/ engine guard. I don't like a lot of stuff mounted to my handle bars and placing the cup holder there worked for me. The only issue I ever had was empty water bottles wouldn't stay in it because I had the holder leaned back slightly to make getting cups and bottles easier to get in and out.
I want to try one of Ciro 3D's cup holders this time and I am wondering if anyone has one mounted to the engine guard? If so how does it work for you? Does it hold cups bottle etc good? Even empties?
TIA,
Kevin

I bought a Ciro holder but since I own an Ultra Limited mine is installed off the tour pack for my wife. I like that I can easily remove the holder “basket” when she’s not riding with me. More money than I wanted to spend but it serves the purpose well.

Somehow, using “bad ***” and “cup holder” in the same sentence seems oxymoronic

😃

Hi all,
I prefer my rear crash bar small little bags. Left one has a bottle holder and a small pouch which I keep small flashlight and other stuff. Right rear crash bar bag has maps extra sunglass pouch and such. I buy water bottles that have a flip up top. I did put some cardboard in there as a liner so the wind didn't collapse it while at speed. A piece of plastic would work great too. It's easy to reach down with left hand, grab it and open it. Not super easy to reinstall at 70+ but I don't reach for it then. YMMV.....goldie

I also have the H-D saddlebag guard bag with water bottle holder on the left side. The holder fits my Hydro flask and keeps things cold all day. I tried the engine guard before but got bugs on my water bottles.
