Thanks peeps,
Sounds like when a 9mm gunslide is racked( pulled back to load chamber) when shifting from 2nd ,3rd...up to 6th gear
Different than clunk sound when going into 1 st gear.
What lube are you using?. HARD shifting from N to 1st and loud clunk from N into first was in my 06 FLHRPI. Changed out lube to AmZoil SAE 75-110 Severe Gear and got great results.
My 09 King shifts very smooth and quiet for the first few miles then progressively becomes a little '' clunky '' when hot. If shifted slowly then it is really not that noticeable and I am totally fine with it. In contrast, the last Harley was a 1980 Low Rider which was in my possession for almost 30 years and always shifted like a knife going through butter hot or cold, different animal I suppose. I use Formula + and have decided not to play around with other lubes as a lot of fellows on this forum gravitate to this product and no doubt it is a good one.
