Is there some special trick I'm unaware of? YouTube just says push a needle in, they pop right off. I call BS. Been fighting these things all morning with not even 1 pin out. About to start cutting wires....
Push proper square filed pin in correct end. Quite often, you need to correct damage by taking a razor blade and prying out the little retainer clip before putting things back together .
Sounds like you may be getting ready to join the other multitude of posts we see on here of things not working or the horn now flashes the lights...

I’ve used a large needle that I’ve cut the point off of and flattened the end. I suppose a paper clip would work as well. I have since bought a tool for it. It’s like a flattened needle with a nice little handle.
