06 FLHTPI idle
So i washed the bike a week ago. Went for a ride after and bike seemed to sputter a bit. Figured water got into air cleaner. I let it dry. Stopped doing it. Now i noticed my idle isn't dropping when i come to a stop . when i let off the clutch from 2 to 3rd i can feel a loss of power and then pick up. I smell fumes when i turn off the bike and it's just not right. Any ideas? I have a power commander 3 installed. I haven't played with it or anything. Any help would be great

Can't help with the issue but next time cover the intake. We all have Walmart bags around. Every now and then mine will be well over 1k when I stop the first time in the neighborhood but by the next stop it's all normal. I do believe there is something to do with how the bike is shut down that can cause this. I cant say for sure but it seems like I read it many years ago and there was a simple process to fix it

Check for vacuum leaks. Use a tooth brush and carb cleaner, show your throttle body some love, pay particular attention to Idle Air component. Fire it up, if all seems well, throw a set of new plugs in her....

I put some new plugs in her the day it happened. Not sure where the idle air component is. Im assuming its in the throttle body?
