Default intake squeel

i have an 07 street glide and encountered a new noise from the intake, its happened twice and has gone away both times. i have just changed the filter and everything seems tight around the intake with no air leaks that i can find. i used propane to try to find a leak and nothing. the front cylinder is running rich also but im thinking that is a different issue itself. here is a link with a video of the noise.

Wow..i think you got something getting read to go South. Tight bad roller bearing somewhere.
I would not plan on getting too far from home before I figured that one out.

Get you a two ear mechanics' Harbour Freight stethoscope and start probing. Least you will be able to pin it to a spot.

Sound travels all around. Noise just standing there may sound like it front left when it's a loose muffler on the header moving back and forth rubbing over on the right side.

I am going old school on diagnosis with this one. Take a long screwdriver and place it against the cam box cover then move onto front rocker box, then rear, and etc. until you have checked every part of the engine and transmission. Listen to how loud the noise gets at each spot and determine where it is the strongest. For example, if it is in the cam box I would pull the cover off and inspect for damage or problems. Sounds like something is tight or, as stated, a bearing is going bad. Anyway you look at it something is not right at all. I hope it is an easy thing.

it literally sounds like it is coming from inside the intake and not anywhere else and has only happened twice.

Might want to also post this in the mechanical section..... That is bizarre. On one hand it sounds almost like vacuum suction to me. On the other hand maybe not......

I would try removing the intake and see if it goes away , hard to tell , but sounds like an air leak . Check your crankcase breather lines . Hope you find the issue , and it's not serious .

The Idle Air Control (IAC) valves on that model are famous for getting carbon build up and causing restricted air flow, hard to say if that is your problem, but before you do anything costly,I would pull the IAC and clean the carbon from it and also from the IAC valve seat in the intake manifold. Throttle body cleaner or gum cutter and a old toothbrush are all you need. Take it easy when spraying the cleaner in the intake, so as to not flood engine.
