Do the same amount of work (creating stopping friction) with half the surface area equals twice the rate of wear. In challenging situations, over heating to brake failure is more likely. But if you have snazzy wheels, it's a fair trade, right? Are you signed up as an organ donor?

I think he should take the other rotor off too, looks way cooler.

Looks are most important, you know....

I can`t imagine that a dealership would have anything to do with a setup like this...
