Default Couple quick questions

So I just picked up a 16 SG special. It's not the one I went there for but, with all the Covid stuff here in Washington they didn't have anyone updating their website inventory. First thing I need to do is get a larger windscreen and some apes. I went from 18s on my Softail to feeling like I should be tucked behind my fairing. Question for other taller riders, is the 10in windshield enough? The stock 4in or whatever is pretty much pointless for me at 6'2. My other question is, has anyone had any experience with the KST or Hill Country Customs prewired bars?

Kst make great bars brother. The pre wired thing they do I think is they get you to mail them your control wires and they run them for you and mail your bars back wired. But it’s so easy to wire them yourself just do it

Best way to get the right height wind screen is one that redirects the air flow around you but allows you to look over the top instead of through it. It’s basically a trial and error process for many of us till we figure out what works, see if your dealer had demo screens that can give you a better feel for what works for you.

As far as a New wind shield check out "https://freedomshields.net". Their website will help you decide on the height or just call or email them.

Most dealerships have Demo windshields and seats.. They bolt it on for you try it out. Even if you do not want what they have you at least get an idea of the height you want. hard to get the feel of a shield from a web sight.

This guy tested a 3" and a 4.5" Memphis Shades on his SGS. I think he's at least 6'3" and he chose the 3". Check it out.

i would suggest not getting a windshield until after you get your seat. different seats are different heights and will impact the height of the shield that you want/need.

Thanks, but I already bought my seat before I rode away with the bike.
