Usually the tallest shield you can stand will stop it the best.
I'm 5'8" long legs , short torso , stock seat (EGS).
The stock 12" was about 3" too tall for me ( but I run it in the winter).
A 9" was right in my vision , so I tried cutting it to 8".
I run the 8" in the summer and it works good for me.
If you run with a helmet visor , that might aggravate the feel also.
