Got back from Laconia and 9 days of riding, zero issues with the MA1. Many stops and starts, always connected right up. Battery usage was about the same as yours, could get a full day of riding out of one charge. I did bring a portable power brick, but only used it on the ride back as there was minimal stopping.
Great to hear it worked well for you and battery usage was similar to what I have been getting. I never plug in the phone any longer. MA1 makes it so much easier. Great product.
Reading through this it looks like everyone is using the stock radios. I am putting a Soundstream Reserve in my EGS and want to do something similar. I want to have the wireless AA device hidden in the fairing and the 12v power port converted to USB for radio updates. I am also going to wire in a Qi charger (
) that looks to be waterproof. I wasn't sure if a splitter would work or not, or if there was a wireless AA device that allows USB passthrough. It would be nice if this radio had a second USB port, then there wouldn't be an issue.
I am using a GT6.5 so carplay isn't an option, however I have added a 4-port slim USB adaptor in the glovebox. I have two cables running out of this, one 6' to the handlebars and one 10' to the QD connection for the tourpack. at the tour pack I have a 1' female that plugs receives the 10' one. That 1' cable has another 4-port USH hub plugged into it. At that port I have an old iphone plugged in as a media player only, and my other phones can plug into it as well as media players or just for charging. No issues picking from the multiple devices as a source of music when all are plugged in.
I like to use AA, but the cubby is to small for these larger phones.
Has anyone tried Carlinkin A2A dongle on their bike? Reviews are good, but not sure if they will work ok on HD.
I have 1 on order, but wont be able to test it on my bike until late Feb

like blueangel73 I run a 4port hub in my joke{sic}box compartment, with a cable to the saddlebags where I keep my droid running Android Auto. I also have a 32GB Sandisk in the hub. No problem picking from various sources on my Soundstream Reserve HDHU2014+
PSA is DON'T bury anything behind the wing, because you will inevitably have to pull the wing every time you want to eliminate it from the equation or do a simple OFF/ON reboot of a connected device.
Having the junction in the cubby means you can easily remove all your extras and simply add the necessary USB when a firmware won't apply etc.
