It's amazing that they would let it ship that way! Quality Control? Yes things have changed with ownership change! This is a good opportunity to see how they treat now that you have showed them the problems! The right thing to do would be for them to immediately ship you another shield and a packing label to send back the shield that was not up NEW standard! Please let us now how they treat you!
I got mine a few years ago. It's held up pretty well. Fit and finish was first rate. I'm truly sorry to hear about the slide in quality. I had a National Cycle shield in the bike I had before the Road Glide. They are polycarbonate and are well crafted. Lasted for years. I'm tempted to buy that next.
