Contact Pro-Action. They can customize rear shocks that meet your weight requirements.

i'm over 400lb and run the progressive 444 with heavy duty spring and it's a bit stiff... sounds like it would be perfect for you! if you call them they will set up the shocks for you

Progressive 944 with extra heavy duty spring. Not a problem.

Pro action, RWD, Ohlins, etc will all be able to build a shock with a spring rate that will suit your weight and the weight of luggage. It's pretty much take your pick, all will be better than stock. Just need to choose how much you want to spend and what if any adjustments you want other than preload.

Weight of OP + his passenger already exceeds max. added weight allowed for a Street Glide by 40 lbs....

Ditto, and would be hard pressed to even find the needed springs to swap out the stock ones for a few hundred dollars.

Hence quick check with Race tech, and stock fork spring is .74KG/mm, and at just 499lbs that the bike is rated for, would need 1.65kg/mm springs isntead.
So for front fork springs, would be some where in the 1.68 range, and special order springs to start with. Same with rear shock replacement springs as well.

I am running the legends 13 inch arc shocks with heavy duty springs on my road glide. Amazing shock. I am 290 lbs and have a trunk in my bike, so it’s just enough weight to compress the shocks to their recommended sag with only 1 turn of preload one the springs, and when I have a passenger they still feel great. I’d go with legends front and back on your bike.

Rob, hi from the UK. As you're in Europe I suggest contacting a local Ohlins dealer or distributor. Your combined weight is going to challenge any suspension supplier, to be honest, so I suggest you find someone nearby to talk to.
