Has anyone here done it? Read about it being suggested in a thread but has anyone ever done it?
I actually like my stock RGU shield, just wish it were tinted a bit more. I suppose stock shields are easy and cheap enough to find if I screw it up...
Thoughts, suggestions?
Don't do it!!! I tried using that stuff years ago on a car side window and it looked terrible. Streaks, runs, bubbles and so on. Then it took an hour to get it back off. Use it on a bike windshield and it'll be ruined.
I tried some tint (car stuff ) on a windshield and it was hard to get it to lay down correctly. It turned out OK, but still wasn't really what i was looking for. I was just wanting to tint it along the bottom.
Hair dryer is the trick with this stuff. Anyway i pulled it back off as i just didn't like it, but it can be done.
Get one already tinted. As others have said, they are cheap, and the tint is the entire shield. You'll have to reapply the spray-on when you have scratches and swirls marks.
Besides, you could always go back to the clear if you change your mind.
Thanks guys!! Much appreciated!!!
Probably am better off just buying another one. I have a 13 Freedom Shield coming that I bought here off the classifieds. Looking forward to trying that out
