Default Security code change help...

I just picked up a 2015 Ultra Limited. I'm the third owner.

I don't know the security code. I have the fobs. Can I change the code without an existing code that may be on the bike (aside from the default Harley code if it's never been changed)?

Thanks!

Ray

Yes, you can change the code by going through the sequence.

Yes, should be in your owner's manual on how to do it. Additionally, there is no default Harley code.

It's in the owners manual. I've had my bike for 2 years an have never used the code. The other day the fob wasn't working an it was asking for the pin. I keep a spare fob battery in the saddlebag. You can find out the code as long as you have a fob in range. I'm going to take a pic of the process to enter the code because I'll never remember it.

I saved the electronic version of the owners manual to Google drive and then also saved it on my phone. That way, once I set my cose I can access those directions on how to use it anytime. .

Here's a question. Why even carry the fob? It's one less thing I have to have in my pocket and I can't lose it if I don't have it.
Am I missing a reason to carry it?

Yes, so you don't have to enter the security code.

What would you rather do?
Walk up to a bike, turn on the ignition and start it
or
Walk up to the bike, turn on the ignition and go through the sequence (you forgot) to enter the code?

It is much easier to just carry the FOB with you. Do you find the FOB sooooo cumbersome that you can't just keep it in your pocket?

also, gives you something to put your key on. you know, so you can lock your forks, saddlebags, and tour pack.
