Fhlx 2014 - suspension
Dear all,
this year I have bought street glide 2014, with bad stock air suspension.
I do a litte of research, and i have come to two brands Ohlins and bitubo.
I still do not know should i buy 12 or 13, i am 178 cm big, so not the tallest man...
Some times I also ride, my wife with me...
So i have found this suspension:
- Bitubo HD051WME22V2
any experience with them?
it is 12,5 inch tall, so maybe ideal for me, if 13 will be to high for me...
so any experience eith this?
it coat mw around 650 USD.

Price being equal you are probably better off going with Ohlin's just for repairs/rebuilds should you need them. Ohlins has a wide ranging dealer network where as Bitubo does not. At least in the US. Cost wise the Bitubo's in the US are quite a bit cheaper than Ohlins. I paid around $450.00 USD for mine.
I have run both Bitubo and Ohlins on the same bike. They are about the same with the nod going to Bitubo for a more plush ride. I am running the 13" shocks. IT doesn't rais the rear as much as you would think. With the sag set correctly there will be little difference in ride height. The stock air shocks don't really have sag in them when they are pressurized correctly for the weight that they are carrying. If they have a 12 1/2" maybe that is your ideal compromise.
