Yell at me if you must 😆 but I searched for while and I’m not finding it.

wondering if anyone has recently had 12 or 14” bars installed at a dealer and what the charges ?

My local shop has a "great deal" @ 999.99. Good luck with that.
It's also super easy to call shops around you.

I think mine was somewhere around five hundred and I already had the bar. Not sure exactly because I ended up have to make modifications for the turn signals. They pointed outward and had to be relocated. Also my wires run through the bars.
it wouldn’t make any difference what the cost was really. For me, and I’m not made of money, the time and aggravation, not mentioning if anything doesn’t work right when done, is worth the cost to me

Definitely not cheap, especially if you will need longer brake lines.

I have a kid that lives up the street from me, he’s an MMI graduate and was a mechanic at a dealer he has a regular job now with a better retirement and benefits package but has a nice shop on his property and does work on the side and only charges $75 an hour, he did my bars in two hours and gave me a neighborhood discount. Most independent shops charge about 3 hours labor for a set of bars, dealers are charging 10 hours, I asked my dealer if he would hire me to do bars only, he laughed and declined.

Instead of paying a shop I bought a prewired set from hill country customs. On the 14+ models it’s pretty easy. You can check out hill country customs YouTube channel and they have a video on the install.

Very reasonable if you can do some research and do it yourself.
Dealer N of the border wants about $1200 excl. bars. So just labor.
if I can do it , you can do it.

Just had mine done (2007 Streetglide that had stock bars) at my local Indy. Had to get a cable kit and wire extensions. Ended up at $1k. More than what I thought, but I didn’t take into account the cables...whatever. I’m happy it is done and everything is the way I wanted it to be. Good luck with it.
