well, that really depends on which cvo you're talking about.
the cvo limited is probably gonna raise you, however, the cvo street glide and road glide seats will sit you down and a little further back. you also aren't limited to the 2020 seats. the seat from the 2012 cvo road glide custom and forward will fit. so look at them in a catalog to see which one you like because they vary greatly in price. i paid less than $300 for the brown diamond stitched one from the 2012 maple bike, while the one that came stock on my 2013 lists at over $500. i also bought one off of the 2017 to put on my 2019 rgs and i think that one was right around $325 while the one for the 2020 is in the $475 range.
i've been riding on one of those cvo seats since 2012, and while they are reasonably comfortable, and i've had no problem riding them on all day rides, for not much more money you can get a custom c&c solo seat. after 8 years, i finally broke down and got one.
I added the CVO seat and passenger pillion from a 18 Street glide on my 19 RGS. the 17-20 cvo seats should all be virtually the same with slightly different designs and it sat about 1/2" lower than the stock seat and is super comfortable after being broken in a bit. In fact, the touring seats haven't changed much. We took my stock one to replace a rip in my brothers 2009 EG as it was practically the same seat. Depending on which version you choose, you can get one shipped from surdyke for quite a bit less than your local unless they will match the price. I think with bolts and front and back seat I was right around $650 shipped for mine. Here's pic back when it was new before I really had many miles on it.
I found one locally taken off at delivery, he's asking $500 with zero miles on it, I'll confirm it came off of a SG or RG special, thanks, all good info.
and look up the prices (msrp), then check them on surdyke.com to get an idea of what the discount price would be. that'll give you an idea what a fair offer would be.
to give you an idea, if the seat is from 2019, and not the mako, it lists for $388.56, with the pillion at $392.88. look up those parts at surdyke and you'll see the seat for $319.71, and the pillion for $294.66, for a total of $614.37. that's why i say his deal is 'fair'. you'd be saving $100 plus shipping, assuming that his claim of '0' miles is correct.

does anyone know if the discontinued 2018 CVO Street Glide seat # 52000367 will fit a 2019 ultra limited FLHTK? Harley tech support can't tell me since the part is discontinued.
