I have had many pair over the years, and have settled on the Avon Gel grips. They are the "hour glass" style/shape and that seems to fit in the palm of the hand better. Avon grips have a sleeve on the left side as well. It fits inside your switch housing and therefore needs no glue to attach. That in itself is worth it.

I find that the stock rubber ones are the best.

I'm using stock rubber grips and just added a throttle boss.

I really like Avon grips & they don't turn your hands black when you sweat .

I have these. Previous owner had them installed. I am not a big fan. My hands sweat and these grips get slippery for me. I probably should start wearing gloves and that would remedy the problem. I felt like the stock grips have better feel. Don't get me wrong, the HD Defiance grips look really nice.

I've used the Avon Contour grips on my last two bikes and have been happy with them.

A lot of recommendations for Avon. Make's sense Avon makes grips & grips only. Different than the tire company. Also made in the USA

Those are the Harley Get-a-Grips. I use those, in the large diameter. Find that helps with hand fatigue.

On my Road King I had Performance Machine XL grips, and they were good too.

I got them in and put on last night. I'll be rolling out this weekend on a small trip. I'll update accordingly.

The install though ... For those that don't know, the clutch lever the left side must come off. The right side was manageable without removing the lever.

The right side was also glued on. Please note, my bars have previously been changed. The new ones did not need glue.

I saw conflicting info when looking rather or not the right side was glued on.
