I am putting a satellite radio on my 03 Classic. Im wanting to put the antenna under the front fairing. Has anyone tried this? Im not sure it will work under there. The antenna is a flat magnetic mount about 1 1/2 inch diameter.
Drop it on the metal case of your radio. I have good reception unless I am in the midst of tall building, going straight North in the mountains or under a metal awning.
I finally ordered an XM unit for the Ultra. It should arrive today. Will keep you posted on how it works out for us. Most likely I'll wrinkle my nose and magically put the antenna inside the faring <GRIN> If it works out, then I'll look into one of the mounts out there. For now, I'll just stick it to my forehead....
