I recently purchased a set of FXR Division 12" Motorwitch bars for my 17' Road Glide Ultra. I love the bars, but I can't set the pitch correctly (to be in line with my forks) because they're hitting my windshield. I'm running a Klock Werks 15" Pro, I'm a taller guy 6'2" with a stock seat. In the meantime I just moved the bars back a little. The feel is a bit awkward but it's only temporary.
It looks like it's time to replace the shield. I'm wondering if anyone has similar bar styles and could recommend something that will work. I just don't want to order a shield and have the same problem.
I've seen/read plenty about them, for some reason I just can't get into the look. I guess it's a function over fashion thing. The people that have em' LOVE them.

How much would the bars impede on the KW at full lock? If not that much and if you like the windshield I wouldn't be beyond taking my Dremel with a sanding drum to it to introduce relief cuts to it. You'd have to tape off the shape you need and go slow but I bet it would work and look good if you took your time. Beats dropping another 200 clams on a new shield.

Truth is I got the windshield used, and I got it for a steal. It was a fire sale situation, guy was just looking for a quick sale. The only reason I like it is, it's the only one I've tried other than the stock shield. I'm looking to buy something else and sell the KW 15" and get my bars lined up with my forks.
