Thanks, and if the bags come with the original saddlebag hardware - I wont need to purchase any new modification brackets or anything - will I?

The mounting brackets on the bike are the same for all the touring bikes. The bracket is attached with a 7/16" bolt which can be loosened to make minor adjustments for accepting the D-ring pin. Once you have them mounted, tighten the bolt and you are good to go.
Some folks with RK Customs report interference between the saddlebag lid and the RK Custom stock seat with the hard bags.

It looks like thelure of the hard bags has got you...there's no turning back after you have it in your head. As long as you're thinking about hard bags...how about adding some bag extenders for the slammed look - now that would be sweet, painted to match your bike of course.
