PM Renthals for me. Not a fan of the Kury stuff.
I have the PM Renthals also. Most comfortable grips I have ever had. I don't like the looks or feel of the
Iso Grips but it seems a lot ofpeople must likethem because there's a ton ofbaggers out there with the same identical Iso grips.

Kuryakyn ISOs with throttle boss on both my bikes. Was fortunate enough when I bought my DWG they were already on there. Never realized just how comfortable they were until I got my Road King and had to ditch the grips on it because they were so uncomfortable.

Unless you want to save the left grip, just use a razor blade and slice it off. Right side is to remove but tricky to reinstall because the little brass throttle cable bushings always either drop to the ground or fall into the housings. Overall it's a very, very simple task though.

P.S. Don't try to change them out in the parking lot of your rented condo in Florida right at dusk. Results are much more sketchy this way...

Use a strap wrench to remove the left grip. Dont bother cutting it off.

Wanting to save a buck or two and change ur own grips out? Sure its EASY.....unless u pinch a wire. Then u'll blowseveral headlamp fuses and prolly need to make a trip to the service dept only to find out "whatever it was" that itwasn't covered under warranty. Don't ask me how I know this.

All totaled it added an hours labor charge for me to install my new grips.

Another vote for the Kury Iso-Grips. If you are careful in cleaning the old glue off, putting on the new ones is a snap.

KURAKYN ISO Grips W\Throttle Boss!!
Same here I had the grips 6 months worring about installing them, it was simple just be careful about the little brass ferrules and the brake lever
Yeah, them little bastages can bounce up to 10 ft. away from your bike if dropped or they can just fit in the small holes that are there when you take the housing apart to do the install. Don't ask me how I know both of these items.

Oh, yeah, and they cost $2.75 EACH if you have to buy one(or 2).

How about a link to the ISO grips? I am pretty much fine with the stock ones (I have big hands). But always looking for a better ride.

You can find the iso's at www.kuryakyn.com . I went with their pilot grips. Mostly because I didn't love the other iso grips, and because everyone had them on their bikes. I wanted to be a little different. I liked them so much, when I changed out my bars, I had them switched to the new bar. I also bought a second throttle boss, for the left grip. It is nice to have a larger area to rest the left hand, plus it balances out the grips. IMO

As far as removal goes. Do the throttle side first. It is a bit tricky, but easy enough. I didn't place any cardboard between the brake lever, and I was lucky enough to not brake the little brake tab. And for the left grip, I just grabbed it, and gave it a hard twist. It came right off. get the right side done, and then align the left grip to match. if you do it correctly, it looks really good.

Billet grips look really nice, but that is where it stops. if you do any amount of riding, those billet grips will kill your hands. A buddy an I have gone on a few rides, he has billet grips. You can see him shaking his hands out every five minutes. LOL Get some type of grip that has a vibration reducing insert, like the iso's or the pilot grips.
