A while back someone had a kit or was making a kit which allowed the tour-pack to berepositioned rearward on the standard mount rack. Does anyone remember who was selling those????
Thanks in advance....... T
Seems like I remember reading where you didn't have to buy anything - just redrill the rail holes, and get a 1/2" thick urethane washer for a spacer for the rear/center hole.
Well I had a nice chat with George this morning and seems he was mailing out a bracket to someone else today and agreed to put mine in the mail as well. What a great gentleman to speak with.
I have to say I walked away after the phone call thinking to myself "what ever happened to the days when business was conducted as George still does today"? It was the standard and not the rare occurance. Maybe with all the complaining I see with POOR service and technical support from HD dealers, WE as owners need to be contacting the MOCO when we aren't 100% pleased? I mean if a gentleman from IL can produce a product and guarantee his customers satisfaction the old fashion way, and that part costs nothing compared to factory accessories,, maybe we should be demanding more. Just my thoughts....
Anyhow, thanks again and anyone who is considering contacting Mr. Anderson, by all means do, great guy........ T
Well recieved the bracket today and it took around 10 minutes to install. Might have been less but 4 of the bolts were too short for my chopped tour pack, so I picked them up and finished the install. Other than the bolts everything was perfect, and who can complain about a one day turn-around on ordered parts. Hats off to George for a great product and service..... T
