Smile 1995 flhtcu to RK

Im new here....and....This might pain the Purists!!

Due to an accident I had, I have two choices: spend thousands of dollars repairing the inner, and outer fairing, gauge cluster, radio and then a get a windshield...OR...convert my ultra classic to have more of a RK look. I decided to go with the later. I've removed the damaged fairings and their components, removed the touring pack, radio amp, and CB components. Stock bars were bent to hell, so now have 12" apes (lowbrowcustoms), VTWIN manufacturing makes a headlight conversion kit, purchased true dual headers from vance and hines (mufflers werent damaged, vance and hines slipons). Will be replacing the handlebar bushings/dampers to poly Ur from arlen ness, from stock seat to la pera silhouette, and gotta get new risers and a cable ext. kit as well. I have a 5 in one gauge I'll likely mount to the bars, cleanly, not messing with a gas tank conversion, so after i removed the CB stuff, i have a chrome dash insert for the tank, keeping the stock dash. From there I'm hoping the local shop can strip the unnecessary wires, tidy up some other things and Ruby will be good to go.

However, I wanted to get on here and see if anyone had done this kind of thing before, and if so, if they had any advice. Also wanted to dip my toe into this community to see whats what.

Advice welcomed!!

Ride safe,
Scooter

Bummer on your ride, and glad you are okay. I have no advice for ya, but have heard of what you plan on doing before with good results. Best to ya.

Ditto! And welcome to the HDF.
Side note: Ruby might go faster now that she's almost a Road King
