I powder coated the stock one that came with the bike and purchased a pair of stainless heim joints off eBay for around $12 bucks.

I know you've made your choice, but if anyone else comes across this thread and are interested in custom made linkages or badges and other machined work check out https://dunphyscycles.com/ Dude makes them right here in Washington. I haven't seen his linkages, but he made a set of Bar and shield tank emblems for a brother of mine and they look bad ***.

yup that’s what I did. Got some chrome moly hem joints from BungKing.com and used my stock linkage. The stock gems suck compared to the beefy aftermarket ones.
