Both of my failures were while parked and not ridden for a couple weeks. So not sure if they drained by the security system but both tested at like 2 volts when they died. I'm going to try to make sure to hook up the tender if it sits for too long.
i've read where the lithium batteries are more sensitive to parasitic draw than the agm/lead acid batteries. they'll last for a long *** time if you have them disconnected, but with that draw, they seem to die quicker.
LI battery is better than an AGM in every way possible.
Hmmm, pretty bold statement right there.....
Does LI beat AGM in price...? I mean, if you think a lower purchase price is better...?
Everyone has different priorities. Those priorities will determine something's worth to them...
Some will consider the new C8 Corvettes to be incredible bang for the buck, and the best car out there... Someone who doesn't care about high performance, and with a tight budget, will think a Toyota Yaris is the best car out there.
The LI battery technology holds promise. It has progressed through some growing pains, and has become a contender to AGM..
To me, however, the cost/benefit ratio of LI v AGM has not reached a point where I'm ready to give up on my tried & true AGM batteries...

I agree. I just replaced the Dekka AGM in my Road King with an identical Dekka. The replaced unit still worked but was getting weak after 8 seasons of riding.
