Default Maint Log book

Does HD (Or anyone else) sell a maint log book? I have made my own in the past, with varying results, but would like a good printed one.

Recommendations?

I have a little 3x5 spiral notepad for each of my vehicles. It’s worked well for me you many years now.

The 6x9" is about the right size. Maybe 5x7, but I think 3x5 might get lost too easily for me.

I use the "notes" section in the owners manual. Keeps it all in one place.

Do you have any computer skills.....????

I've run boats offshore and log books for maintenance, equipment, and repairs are very valuable when trying to keep track of all the systems on a boat...

Over the years, because of that experience, I have made log books for all my boats, cars, and motorcycles.

I originally used FileMaker Pro and came up with a pretty good database.... but then Filemaker started charging monthly access fees, or $600 for a new licensed version to run on the 64-bit operating systems... I'm not paying a monthly fee, and am balking at $600 to track my maintenance...

This is a copy of a record from the database I made in Filemaker Pro, for my 2003 Hertitage...

With my wife's help (I'm a MAC guy, she's better at Excel), we put together an Excel spread sheet to track records from where my Filemaker pro left off.. a spreadsheet is inferior to a database for many reasons, but in either case I would print out a record, and put it in a binder. with receipts, to keep track of everything, both with a hardcopy and backed up in my computer...

With some help, skills, you could put together a spreadsheet to track whatever, however you want...

Here is a copy of a record from my Excel spreadsheet log...

Good luck with whatever path you choose....

There are also plenty of apps that track your maintenance. They will even export to Excel for you all neat and organized!
