I have to ask why did you take the faring off a new 2020 SGS? And do you have an HD Service Manual.

Push, Pull, Squeeze, Flex, Force and finally get a hammer. That's all I got!

This is what is required for a 2014. You will need to raise the inner fairing assy a little (2"-3"), then slide the assy over the top mounting holes that are part of the triple tree. The metal strut behind the fairing plastic is shaped slightly like C channel for rigidity and to keep the inner fairing in place when the blinkers or auxiliary lighting is removed. I'm not sure what info is in the manual for this; but, if you are still struggling with it let me know and I will take a look.

Thanks,
Rob

Put screws in loosely on the top ones and manually move the bottom screw holes to where you need it. It takes alittle patience.

When I installed my (painted) inner fairing, I used some silicone spray...and everything slided in place.

This video is from Factory 47. It's a 2017 SGS. Lengthy video, but skip to 46:00. The guy makes it look super easy, but he also took the time to ensure everything was routed correctly beforehand.
