locks for leather classic bags?
1. Bags lock (obviously)
2. You can turn the key to the always open position so they won't lock when you shut them
3. Prevents the "sunken lid" look. You know, when you look from behind and it looks like the lids are closed further then they are supposed to be. Really cool part that I hadm't thaught of before buying them.
4. Can't tell they are installed because the lock is behind the badge thing, badge flips up to access lock.
Cons
1. Hard to allign the striker with the lock due to the flexability of the bags. Works better with a full load in the bags.
2. If the striker misses the latch, the hardware can gouge the leather. Mine has but you can't see it when the lids are closed
3. The badge thing (see 4 above)tends to rotate out of the stowed position while riding. May be an adjsutment tho.
Overall, I am glad I have them and would do it again.
Also, if you do a search there are plenty of other discussions on the subject.
They look and worked great!!!
