Decent Cover?
It absolutely makes sense...
I would add then, to be aware if the cover will be affected by wind... If so, you want a snug fitting cover... A loose, flapping cover WILL put swirl marks and scratches in your paint...
Good luck..
I've had the Harley cover, what do you like about the Sealskin? They look nice but don't know much about them. I'm in need of a good outdoor cover for the Florida climate and narrowed it down to these 2. (HD and Sealskin)
Open for suggestions.
Thx
Looks a little strange when you take it out of the bag but you lay it out on the floor, roll your bike onto it, work the top portion over the top of he bike and zip it up around the bottom and pretty much seals the bike in a bag.
My Ultra limited sits in a machine shed through the winter in Iowa and since I had one of those little furry guys get in and do some minor damage last year I went for something a little different and got a cover from "Zerust.com" ($139.00) Claims to have a rust prevention additive in the inner material so keeps everything dry.
"The anti-rust vapors will remain active for five (5) years from the date of purchase."
I'm not sure I would like the idea of "vapors" trapped in a bag with my bike... I couldn't find what these vapors are, what they affect, or how they reduce moisture in a sealed environment..
Have you stored you bike in it for a period of time yet...?
Did you find a film on your paint/chrome/leather when you checked on the bike??
Did you find any signs of moisture trapped in the sealed cover...??
I like the idea of a complete enclosure, but I would rather have one that's vented, with no "vapors"...
I had to park my Heritage outside for a year... I bought an enclosed cover with a collapsable top...
I can't find the name of it, but a quick search showed this one... Mine was very similar, but had a built in floor too.. It had vlcro to keep it sealed and had vents high up on the top
