well me and my buddy have been contemplating trading in our sportys and gettin street glides. well, he did it. I kept my sporty for now, but his street glide is actually coming to the dealership monday. He purchased a deep cobalt blue street glide i think it was. He got the bike, rinehart true duals, SE stage 1 air cleaner, and the download. The owner at the dealership asked me why i wouldnt get one and i told him that my payments werent where i wanted them ($280 after trade in). He then looked up when he was getting an 08 vivid black street glide in and he said "come on, just buy it! I have one coming in Aug 24 but it has cruise. Its only a $250 option?" then i told yeah a $250 option i didnt want to purchased. He then told me if id buy it, he'll throw the cruise in for free. So im goin to debate it alittle while and possible get it. what do you guys think? Do you think ill miss my first bike (the sporty) or will the new street glide make up for it?
You'll miss it. Your first Harley (any style/type) is always in your hart. I love my 07 Street Glide, but had to go buy my Deuce back!!Now, there are two loves in my life.
You will miss the throttle response of the sporty, but everything else on the SG will make you forget about the sporty very quickly. My buddy has had two sportsters (05/06) and now has a streetglide (07) and says he does not miss the sporty one bit. I think you will prefer the SG as you will be able to do so much more. I think you going to like the tunes and the bags so much you will always have to have them on future bikes....good luck and have fun.
After you go FLH. There`s no turning back...The dark side wins again....
You`ll be so glad you have the cruise you`ll wonder how you lived without it for this short time you have been riding....
Man I wish I had a bike like this at 22...Enjoy....................[sm=biker.gif]
