Captain Itch Crotch Cooler. Have had them on the last 4 bikes and both current bikes. He just had a fire at his house/shop so things may be sketchy there.
I used the mid frame deflectors, they seem to work better if I just use the right side so the hot air can escape instead of it being trapped with both sides on. I also noticed that the new solo seat from harley is thin so I put some self stick race car heat reflective mat under the seat and it helped. Now I have the Saddlemen Dominator seat and it doesn't let heat through like the cheap thin harley seat. I'll take the cat out when my warranty expires.
Have you compared the heat trapped with the right shield only vs both?
I wondered about it myself, as I read/ watched it somewhere.
Wonder if it actually makes any difference in engine heat?
I just recently installed both shields & wonder if I should yank off the left side...?
I dint think the crotch cooler will help beat that is on your foot from the pipes and cat. I wrapped my pipes, and it helped significantly. Im very happy with the sound and performance and dont want to risk ruining it, so Ive been hesitant to de at it.
id be suspicious of any dealer that recommends decating a bike that is in warranty.
