When loaded with gear I'd like to mount from the right side but the bike feels like it is going to go over when I try. I understand that leo's do it but i'm leery. At age 79 its hard to swing my leg from the left when I have a travel pack on. Any suggestions? yeah , yeah I know , should get a trike. NOT HAPPENING ! YET !
I also mount from the right from time-to-time, especially when I'm using a driver backrest and TP attached. No issues when loaded. Here's the Motorman demo'ing...
I guess I climb on like a girl. Always have the tour pack on and am approaching your age. Regardless of which side I am on, I grab the pant leg of the leg going over the bike and lift it with my arm to help clear the seat. Haven't tried standing on the foot board yet, that may be in the near future.
Just hit 49 and I'm already lifting my leg over by the pant leg. Former runner, football, soccer player etc. My knees are ****. Guess I'll be getting a trike at 55 or a corvette sumthin.
